Let's Yo-Go with the Flow and transition into the Season ...
You can expect to deepen your practice in a moving majestic vinyasa sequence, leading towards self practice. Weaving music, insense and candles in a wonderful and magical setting.
Let's make our Yoga elemental, to connect to inner space via the mothership ... we want our Yoga uncut, freeflowing and energising. Loosen up and create space in the spine, lower back, in your trunk with all that junk, into, under, around and above the shoulders and joints, lengthen those tired muscles, open up the backs of those knees from sitting and release under those arms ... whilst using the breath to go deeper and find the stillness within the pose.
We are an elemental tribe ... I'm offering a Vinyasa Sequence fusing Salutations (Fire and Water, Air, Space and Earth) Standing, Balancing, Seated Poses, Inversion Practice whilst layering in Mantras, Mudras and Guided Meditation.
Yoga Practice Content—We’ll be exploring:
Yoga Postures, Chakras and Meditation
Vinyasa Flow Seasonal Sequences with modifications
Breathing techniques, Mantras (chants), Mudras (hand gestures); and
Partner Work (occasional)
You're welcome to pay as you go but you'll save more by investing in a block booking and allowing your mind and body to feel and see the improvements from one week to the next. Please book on by making your payment on my website and I’ll send you the link to access our Zoom Practice and I'll add you to the register.
Yoga: Here are just a few of the benefits ...
Daily yoga helps improve your posture, making you walk taller and sit up straighter at your desk. Aches and pains caused by incorrect body posture such as back pain can also be alleviated.
An everyday gentle yoga practice will fuel the metabolic system and help burn fat.
Increase your energy awaken your Chakras - Just a few minutes of yoga every day will provide that much-needed energy boost in our busy lives and will keep us fresh for longer. Yoga, with its unique synergy of body and breath work, is perfect when your reserves are running low. Daily yoga practice will awaken the main energy centres (called chakras) in our body. Great poses for extra energy are those that extend the spine, such as the tree pose, allowing energy to circulate throughout the whole body, and poses that open the chest, like the cobra pose, encouraging the intake of more breath.
Reduce Stress - Relaxing Yoga poses can reduce stress and anxiety. Any yoga practice, even a short daily one, should be made up of three elements; poses, breathing and meditation. Studies have shown that those people who regularly practice all three elements are better able to regulate their heart-rate variability (HRV). This generally means that their heart rate is lower, giving body the ability to respond to stress in a more flexible way.
Be Happy - 15 mins of daily yoga can improve your brain chemistry and improve your mood. Adding a few yoga poses to your daily routine can make you an emotionally stronger and happier person. A recent study has shown that practising regular yoga and meditation results in higher serotonin levels (the happiness hormone).
Improve your concentration and think clearer and become more mindful with improved intention. Yoga and mindfulness go hand-in-hand. When practising yoga, you will shift your awareness to the sensations, thoughts, and emotions that accompany a given pose. That awareness will bring the mind back to the present moment – the main aim of mindfulness - where it can stay happy and focused.
Practising mindfulness has lasting physical and psychological benefits that are very much in line with the benefits of yoga. You will feel more calm and relaxed, and less stress and anxiety. You will experience higher levels of energy and enthusiasm and more self-confidence and self-acceptance.
“Yoga is a way to restore our lost wholeness, our integrity as complete human beings, by unifying the personality around a centre that is silent, unbounded, spacious and joyful”.
Feel the feelings within the feelings – it’s time to connect and go deeper
Together we chillax into meditation sequence to sink, release, relax and surrender into stillness ... to let go and simply be free.
